Vacancy - Exam evaluation and preparation tutor for Urbanism and Planning.
We are looking for two enthusiastic and well-organized senior students of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences, who successfully passed the Urbanism and Planning course and are interested in helping first year students by hosting exam evaluation and preparation sessions. This is a paid position as student assistant.
As a tutor you will host two sessions of two hours. During these sessions you will sit together with first year students and help them evaluate their Urbanism and Planning midterm properly. Besides, you show them how to efficiently and effectively prepare for their Urbanism and Planning final and possible resit. You use your own experience and the input from the Urbanism and Planning course coordinator to help first years acclimatize faster to the way of examining in university.
For each session you will need two hours of preparatory work. The students enrolling have the chance to share their exam answers in advance. You will then identify their main mistakes and points of improvement, which you will later cover during the session.
Workload: 8 hours per person (4 hours preparation, 2x2 hours of tutoring)
Period: Between October 5th and October 29th.
- Preparation in week 41 and 42 (October 5th - October 16th)
- Tutor sessions in week 43 and 44 (October 19th - October 29th)
Competences and skills:
- English communication
- Successfully passed Urbanism and Planning. The course coordinator can check the applicant’s grade for the Urbanism and Planning course prior to the interview.
- Explaining to groups of around 10 people
- Experience with evaluating (own) exam
