Dear All,
We are thrilled to announce the W.J. van den Bremen Lecture on the 2nd of May! The Lecture Committee, in collaboration with the Alumni Network FSS, has organized this year’s edition with the following speaker: Philippe van Parijs! He is a Belgian philosopher, political economist, emeritus professor at UCLouvain, and visiting professor at KU Leuven. Known for his work on language politics and his defense of Universal Basic Income, he also triggered a movement of civil disobedience that transformed the urban fabric of a car-infested Brussels.
The lecture will take place in the Senaatskamer of the Academy Building, so save the date and be sure to gain some inspiring knowledge about his famous project, 'Picnic the Streets' in Brussels. You can walk in at 16:15, and the lecture will start at 16:30. After the lecture, there will be a drink at the Uurwerker, and the first drinks and snacks will be on us.
Sign up now!
We hope to see you there,
Dulce de Le'Cie
