With great pleasure, we invite you to the 33rd Urban Planning Lecture, ‘The Netherlands Now & in the Future’, to be delivered by the Minister for Housing and Spatial Planning, Elanor Boekholt-O’Sullivan. The theme of the lecture is the National Spatial Planning Vision (Nota Ruimte) and the strategic choices the government is making regarding the future development of the Netherlands. Before the lecture, one can visit the mini-exhibition ‘Spatial Planning Policy: From the Past to the Present’ presenting a century of spatial planning in the Netherlands.
The lecture will take place on Monday, 7 December 2026, at the Nieuwe Kerk in Groningen, starting at 16:00 (doors open at 15:30). The lecture will be delivered in Dutch, with live English translation provided.
