  • The walk-in starts at 19.00 to 19.30.

On the 4th of June, the famous W.J. van den Bremen Lecture of 2024 will take place. The Lecture Committee, in collaboration with the Faculty of Spatial Sciences and the Alumni Network FSS, is honored and excited to announce the name of this year’s edition: prof. dr.h.c. Jan Gehl. He will come all the way from Copenhagen to share his insights and expertise on enhancing the livability of cities in the 21st century.

Jan Gehl is a renowned Danish architect, urban designer, and influential figure in the world of urban planning. He has dedicated his career to promoting human-centered design principles that prioritize the needs and experiences of people. Gehl is known for books like Life Between Buildings and Cities For People where he advocates for those values.

The lecture will take place in the Aula of the Academy Building and the walk-in will be from 19:00 to 19:30.
