Dear readers,
After over 2 years of hosting Ibners in our lovely house on the Zwanestraat, we are happy to finally become an official Ibn Residence. For those of you who don’t know us yet, we are Emmeline and Ali, two international students both studying in our fourth year of HGP. Emmeline is from the lovely American state of Alabama and is always down to go with you to a nice rave or look at photos of mushrooms. Ali comes from Italy but has actually lived all around the world, in Singapore and Germany too. She’s always up for playing a game of trivia with a glass of wine. As you can see, this is where our house name comes in: Pasta, representing Ali’s Italian heritage and love for the food, and Funghi, representing Emmeline’s love for mushrooms. Together the two ingredients make a perfect dish that resembles our friendship well. When we first moved into our house, we envisioned creating a space where we could host big groups of friends and where everyone felt welcome. From the many committee nights, predrinks, afterparties, and theme parties, we have been very happy to get to host so many Ibners in our beloved home. It is our goal to continue having fun times and making lots of memories in our house with all of our friends from Ibn. We hope to see you soon on the Zwanestraat!
Sincerely,
Emmeline and Ali
